Ramadan Mubarak to all my niggas in the whole wide world.
when Black women are upset with or dislike someone nonblack the first thing yall jump to is that we’re “hating” “bitter” & “negative” none of our feelings are ever validated and are more often than not dismissed as being delusional & we’re bullies.
nonblack women are allowed to be multidimensional people with valid feelings about wrongdoing done or said against them but us? our only crime is that we’re not seen as soft and therefore not worth the defense.

A lot of the problems Cancer has in life is because they’ve decided to find comfort in the wrong things (or people) that hurt them in the long run. Cancer struggles to let go what’s given them so much comfort but once they realize that they deserve better, they’re unstoppable.
Not shaving and not wearing make up are literally nonbehaviors. They’re a complete lack of action. But doing nothing is considered masculine because men are the only ones who are allowed to just be.

Art is like a real hoot… art as like an institution!!!!! A hoot!!!!!! This is all so subjective so this environment feels weird as fuck now!!! Like how do you determine when an artistic vision is ripe????? You can’t that’s fake!!! So like how do you gauge professionalism in the art world when all that’s really needed of you to succeed is institutional like valiadatio /recognization but the galleries and shit are beating the institution to it now because social media is like completely shifting how people r ~discovered~ and so now I’m getting the same perspective as like graduate students and want the same conversations as them and also am like why would I ever get a masters degree why am I even getting a BFA why am I here and all of this is fake….why would I be pay more to be talked at about art when I know damn well my love and connection to it are deeper and more comprehensive and personal than anything I could learn and I know going to an art institution is basically a training sesh on not real art which is infinitely more beautiful but like art as an industry so naturally it’s significantly cold but I used to believe that text book success follows being allowed in many environments that challenge/push you to experiment in conditions you haven’t ie having to do that institutionally if communal arts are inaccessible and if u get ur masters eventually some gallerist will think ur ready but that’s not necessarily how it operates now!!!! And outside of the studio resources like why this is all so steeped in elitism and making connections via similar ways of thinking and analyzing content but these strange crazy weird quiet and profound ways of reaching making and using art!!! Say so much more about a history and further more a future!!! there’s no one here to really guide us through the transition/shift that’s social media’s causing because it’s happening to us!! we are witnesses and participants!!! I am so in awe that I get to bear witness2 this all and y’all get to bear witness to me witnessing and get to witness this within your own lives!!!! Being alive is so crazy!!!!! Can’t believe it!!!!!!!!!
romantic love isn’t everything. love comes in many forms. when he bought you coffee. when she complimented your outfit. platonic love is just as good. friend love is good love too.

I used to think environmental feminism was the whitest most Birkenstock organic oatmeal exclusive “goofy white feminist” thing ever. Then one day my professor told me about how it’s a reproductive justice issue that like ¼ Black kids in a neighborhood in the south Bronx have asthma because there’s a giant power plant / waste center thing by where they live or something. And the environmental standards are so low that it affects their health and livelihood etc. and it literally changed my entire life lol. then I thought about the garment industry and environmental waste from that and how it affects those making the clothes. and I thought about who those creative garment workers are!!!!!!!!! And why their work is undervalued and the implications etc. and how this is actually in every facet of my life and not just like white woman ignoring the lives and issues of PoC to pick up bottles on the beach. Like this is serious. It’s just life changing really to realize how shallow and goofy I was being avoiding these issues.
Or rather, not connecting them properly to have a comprehensive understanding of how injustices relevant to me are connected to the environment and preservation of the integrity of these environmental systems?
